The Mara Strategy project team learned from the good practices of the Diputacio de Barcelona

Mara Strategy project implementation team, composed of Dan Cocoșilă – project manager, Claudia Breban – project implementation expert, Gheorghe Paul Szaniszlo – communication and international relations expert, Răzvan Roman – procurement manager, Talida Roman – spatial planning expert, Ramona Cosma – expert tourism, Lenuța Dale – assistant manager, Alină Farcaș – financial manager, Loana Rață – technical planning expert, last week paid a study visit to several institutions in Barcelona (Spain), to get in touch with the experience and skills of some institutions similar European.

If on the first day the team visited the municipality of Vic where it came in contact with examples of good practice on local projects, in the following days the study visit continued to the regional institution, Diputacio de Barcelona and the metropolitan entity A.M.B. (Barcelona Metropolitan Area). During the presentations made by the specialists of the Diputacio de Barcelona, ​​Gregori Mora – head of the New Technologies department and Eloi Juvilla Ballester – head of the territorial support and strategic projects department, delegations were able to discover examples of good practice in the field of strategic planning and spatial planning through Smart Region projects. .

At the same time, in the field of tourism, delegations came in contact with the latest information on the strategy for sustainable tourism development in the city of Barcelona, ​​as well as ways to involve companies and associations in the field of tourism and hotel in tourism action plans. In the field of urban planning, Spanish specialists Carles Peidró, head of the Planning and Evaluation Unit together with Natàlia Moreno, an official on European projects, presented the EDUSI program.

The representatives of the Maramureș County Council also visited the entity A.M.B. (Barcelona Metropolitan Area), a consortium of municipalities with responsibilities in the fields of transport, waste, urban mobility, parks and green areas, water supply, social housing. The director of the International Relations Department, Xavier Tiana, from A.M.B., presented and debated at length with the Mara Strategy project implementation team the activity of the visited institution, the competencies, the implemented projects, but also the future ones.
